The Nintendo 3DS Launch

Dixons Retail, UK’s leading electrical retailer, is opening its busy London Oxford Street Currys Digital store at 23.45 Thursday 24th March ready for a special midnight launch of the Nintendo 3DS – spring 2011’s most hotly anticipated games console.

Black, the new, fashionable electricals boutique concept store from Currys and PC World, which opened its Birmingham flagship store last December, will also open its doors at 23.30 ready for midnight.

The first 150 customers to enter either the London Oxford Street’s Currys Digital or the Black store in Birmingham can pick up the new Nintendo 3DS console at a special launch price of £179*. They will also qualify for a £75 voucher book, which will entitle them to a range of exclusive gaming discounts including £5 off a selection of Nintendo 3DS games, £15 off a Wii Fit game and £20 off a Wii console.

The Nintendo 3DS is a new generation of portable games console enabling players to enjoy 3D gaming without the glasses. Users will also be able to take 3D pictures on the device and interact with other 3DS players online.

The midnight store launches will be taking place at Currys, 493-497 Oxford Street, London, W1D 1BX and Black, 79 High Street, Birmingham, B4 7TE

Offer only valid the evening of 24th March and expires the morning of 25th March.
